ABOUT THIS ALBUM:

I’ve long had a dream of writing songs about each month of pregnancy as a special way to celebrate life. Being adopted as an infant, I especially appreciate the choice my birth mother made.

I was given a chance, a shot at life.

By having children of my own, I pass on that gift.

When my wife and I learned that we were expecting, I finally started writing the “pregnancy songs” during and about each of the nine months.

These songs tell the story of a person, of every person. It’s about your development in the womb, and that of your children, and your spouse, your siblings, your parents and grandparents, your friends, your neighbors, everyone in the crowded baseball stadium and on the freeway and in the grocery store aisles. It is a universal experience none of us can remember for ourselves. I just figured we ought to have a set of songs to celebrate that journey, like a soundtrack for pregnancy.

So, here ya go. This is the Andrew Cos Band version we’re calling Nine Months.

Would you set aside 30 minutes and do nothing but listen to these songs? Consider the incredible gift of life, and perhaps, like me, you’ll be overwhelmed with gratitude for being given it.

Cheers,
Andrew (10/27/2015)
